Thank You!!! Our Victory Story Goes National; I Miss You! Join Us In Portsmouth, NH to Help Elect Kamala Harris!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all so very much! I am incredibly proud to be the Democratic nominee for Governor’s Councillor, District 3. With no Republican on the ballot, our work is mostly done for now. The work everyone did on this campaign was extraordinary, from all the people who endorsed me, to activists all over the district contacting their networks, sending emails, making calls, knocking on doors, sending texts and sending postcards, delivering and putting up lawn signs, putting up tables at farmers markets to distribute lit, signs, and talk to voters, writing letters to the editor of their local papers, marching with us in parades, dressing the polls, holding signs at the polls on primary, and making sure all the sign holders were in the right place at the right time. It all added up to a decisive win, and I want you to know we couldn't have done this without each and every one of you.

The story of this race has gotten a lot of press, withThe Boston Globe covering this in a story about the challenges of taking on an incumbent. I’m very glad they quoted me on how long and hard-fought this campaign was. Many of you were with me from the beginning, in the 2022 campaign. The 2024 campaign was 18 months long, and for those entire 18 months I had your incredible support, giving me strength, energy, and stamina. I could not have campaigned like that without you.

Now the story of the victory is getting a lot of press too, with a recent story inBolts Magazine, “The Public Defender Who Just Won Power Over Confirming Massachusetts Judges”. This is the beginning of new era, as I toldState House News Service, and the story made the front page ofThe Lowell Sun. I said that with confidence because all of you made it very clear that voters know what the Governor’s Council does and how very much it matters. For years, the Governor’s Council was dismissed and derided. No more. You made certain of that.

I miss seeing all of you on the campaign trail! But we do have another election to work as hard as we can on – the one to elect Kamala Harris President of the United States. I’d love to get as many of you together as possible for a canvass in spectacular Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Saturday, October 5, 2024. We will canvass starting at 10:00 a.m. and wrap up at noon. If you haven’t been to Portsmouth lately, this is a great opportunity to see how wonderful it is and join me to see the sights and just enjoy being together while working to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
