Mara and supporters canvassing in Manchester, New Hampshire

Hi Everyone,

I am still seeing folks all over the district and having a wonderful time, including at Lexington's wonderful Dewali celebration! I am incredibly proud and grateful to know so many Democrats canvassing not just in Massachusetts but traveling to North Carolina, Pennsylvania and other swing states to make sure Kamala Harris wins on November 5th. Some wonderful supporters joined me to canvass in Manchester, New Hampshire, not just to help get out the vote for Kamala Harris, but because our friends to the north have a critical gubernatorial election. Democrat Joyce Craig is in a dead heat with Republican Kelly Ayotte, and the differences are painfully clear. Joyce Craig has always supported abortion rights, while Kelly Ayotte voted for a national abortion ban and voted to defund Planned Parenthood four times. There's more, but as far as I'm concerned that's enough. I was very happy to be joined by so many supporters last time, and hope you'll come out again! Click on these links to join me in Manchester on November 2, 2024 and in Exeter on November 3, 2024!

I recently spoke with Henry Santoro from GBH about my campaign, and he was kind enough to ask me about The Eva Dolan Boots Project. Click HERE for the story. That's Eva in the picture. To honor her memory, I am continuing important work that she started when she observed that the homeless and unhoused in New York City were often given clothes and warm meals in the winter, but far too many didn't have a decent pair of boots. She started The Boots Project to collect and distribute mostly used (but sometimes new) winter boots to those in need in New York City. I renamed it The Eva Dolan Boots Project, and collect boots to distribute to the homeless and unhoused right here in Massachusetts. If you have boots you'd like to donate, email me at Mara@MaraDolan.com. Every pair of boots you donate will mean someone has warm, dry feet this winter.

I was delighted to co-host fundraisers for the Democratic nominees for Governor's Councillor in the two open seats, Tamisha Civil for District 2 and Eunice Ziegler for District 5. The work to make sure we have the best Governor's Council continues through Election Day, so please check out their websites to see who you know in their districts and make sure they vote!

Folks have been asking about lawn signs, so here's what to do. If you still have yours, please put it back out through Election Day. Thanks to everyone who has put up a lawn sign! The signs were great for this election but are too specific to 2024 to be used again, so please recycle the signs and hold onto the wire frames for next time.

Come join me to watch the returns on election night! I am confident we will have much to celebrate and would love to celebrate with you! So come join me and my co-host Senator Jamie Eldridge at Sanctuary, 82 Main Street, Maynard starting at 7:30 p.m. There will be plenty of food and drink, so come and bring a friend!

Take Care,

Mara
