Pro-Choice, Pro-Justice, Proud to Join Sen. Becca Rauschfor a Joint Event in Weston!

Hi Everyone,

I'm proud to join Massachusetts State Senator Becca Rausch at a joint event in Weston! It will be held at the home of my campaign finance chair John Hennessey on April 26th, starting at 5:30. I am eager to speak with you about what we are doing right now to lay the foundation for 2024 to finish what we started, and for all of us to get to hear from Senator Rausch.

Senator Rausch knows that with former prosecutors outnumbering former public defenders in our trial courts at 2:1, in our appeals courts at 5:1, and on the Supreme Judicial Court at 4:1, it's time to elect the first public defender to the Governor's Council.

I met Becca before her first campaign for State Senate, and closely followed her race to unseat long-term Republican incumbent Richard Ross. People thought he could not be beaten, but she knew she could do it and she did. She did it again last year, beating Republican extremist State Rep. Shawn Dooley in a new, more conservative district.

Like me, she is and will always be 100% pro-choice. Like me, she knows we need to make sure officials at all levels of government are also 100% pro-choice.

Today, Senator Rausch is a co-sponsor of S.406 An Act Clarifying the Role of Governor's Councillor on the Ballot. Filed by Senator Mike Barrett, it will change our ballot from having the confusing "Councillor" to plainly stating "Governor's Councillor".

It will be a wonderful opportunity to hear from both Becca and myself, and I really look forward to seeing everyone! Come join us in Weston. It will be a wonderful event!
